Is the design process that involves organizing, converting and detailed planning of specific information into a level of understanding that is able to inform users in an appropriate way. Information/instructional design is based on communication to inform people. Its purpose is to make order and sense out of a subject’s overload of information and complexity. An information designer has three hierarchical levels of activity when undertaking information design information architecture, information planning and information design. The output of an information design is sometimes expressed in written instructions, plans, sketches, drawings, or formal specifications and can be used in a number of design disciplines such as traditional print, broadcasting, interactive experiences, electronic products etc.
