- Flickr is an image and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community platform. In addition to being a popular Web site for users to share personal photographs, the service is widely used by bloggers as a photo repository.
- Wikipedia is a free multilingual encyclopedia project supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. Articles on Wikipedia are written collaboratively by volunteers around the world, and almost all of it's articles can be edited by anyone who can access the wikipedia website. Launched in January 2001 it is currently the most popular general reference work on the Internet.
- Facebook is a social networking website that is open to anyone 13 years of age or older. Facebook users can create and customise their own profiles with photos, videos and informaion about themselves. Friends can browse the profiles of other friends and write messages on their pages.

- Youtube is what is known as an online video website. The website allows internet users to upload and share their videos with other internet users. Many of the videos found on youtube are homemade videos and made by everyday individuals.
